1. Who can leave a review

Anyone who hired a building professional can leave a review on their Hello Chantier listing, whether or not the professional has claimed it. The author confirms they hired the company and gives the date of the work. Hello Chantier does not pay for reviews and offers nothing in return for them.

2. How we check reviews

Our team reads every review before it is published. A “Verified” review is linked to a project followed on Hello Chantier: we know the author worked with this professional. An “Unverified” review is not linked to a project: the author confirmed their email address and vouched for their experience, but we cannot prove it. The label appears on every review.

3. Reviews of a company that has not claimed its listing

Some listings are created from public SIRENE data, without an account for the company. When a review is approved there, we tell the company by email. The review is published 15 days after that email is sent. During that time, the company can claim its listing for free to reply, or report a review to us. If we cannot reach the company in writing, the review is published no later than 45 days after its confirmation, unless the company claims its listing first.

4. Publication and retention periods

An approved review is published no later than 45 days after the author confirms it. It stays online as long as the listing exists, and for at most 5 years after its date.

5. When we reject a review

We reject a review that is not about a service from the company, that contains abusive, defamatory or discriminatory content or personal data, that comes from someone linked to the company or to a competitor, whose experience looks made up, or that duplicates a review from the same author. We never reject a review because it is negative. We do not edit the text of a review. The author of a rejected review receives the reason by email.

6. Display order

Reviews are shown from newest to oldest. You can filter them by rating. The review date and the date of the work appear on every review.

7. The professional's rights

Once the listing is claimed, the professional can reply publicly to each review from their account; the reply is read before publication. They can also report a doubt about a review’s authenticity to us for free, explaining why: the review is then hidden while we check.

8. Editing or deleting your review

To edit or delete your review, write to us from the address you used to post it. Your data is processed under our privacy policy.
